Yoga for the Face is a practice of awakening facial muscles through exercise, relaxing the face through intention and breath work, self massage and acupressure. Yoga is the practice of awareness. The practice of Yoga for the Face brings awareness to the face, expressions, as well as the emotions, thoughts and stories that are worn on the face. During this practice students can shed layers and sometimes years of stress and emotional tension.
The exercises in this practice help lift the forehead and eyebrows, strengthening the muscles around the eyes giving one the appearance of a natural eye lift while relieving puffiness. Exercises that lift and define cheekbones, tone the jaw and neck as well as increase circulation building collagen and elastin in the skin. Yoga for the Face stimulates acupressure points to help alleviate headaches, sinus issues, TMJ, puffy eyes and more. During the practice we observe emotions and roles that we carry on our face, releasing what is not serving us and allowing our true beauty and radiance to shine through.
